Today marks a very special day...my dear, sweet husband, Matt's birthday!
Yesterday morning my mom brought over a plate of cookies for him (chocolate chip walnut cookies and chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, his favorites) and he has yet to offer me one, but that's ok, they're his present.
Then later that evening Matt & I went over to his parents' home for dinner. His parents were there along with his dad's mom (Grandma Carol), Matt's brother and his gf and their daughter (our most favorite niece/God daughter) and Matt's sister (whose bf is overseas). Dinner was great, as usual. Conversation was hilarious and teasing, as usual. Memories were made and shared, as usual.
And Matt's favorite: cheesecake for dessert! He so loves cheesecake.
All in all a great end to a great weekend. I heart birthdays, although Matt isn't a huge fan he knows how much I love them and get joy out of making someone feel extra special.
My gift to him: concert tickets for us to go see Reba this Spring! I love getting another opportunity for us to make a memory together :)
