We have 2 furry babies...and before you can ask, yes, I am "that" pet parent ;) I love our dogs and much to my husband's annoyance treat them like human babies.
I brought Stanley into my family in May 2007 when he was a mere 3 pounds! I asked a friend to go with me "just to look" and after just one look and him snuggling up to my neck and falling asleep on my chest...I was in heaven!
I quickly and very easily fell in LOVE with this puppy! My mom jokes that he was never told that he is a "dog" :) But oh well, he's mine and I adore him. He LOVES LOVES LOVES peanut butter, but what dog doesn't! And he loves running around, but just not running on a leash, go figure!
Our other baby is Hank. The month before Matt proposed we decided to get Hank and brought him home on our "11 month anniversary" of dating. Although we got him through a "private seller" I honestly believe we "rescued" him. The home he came from was NOT good for him or any dog and I hate thinking about what his life would have been had we not saved him. Since the day we brought him home he easily won our hearts!
Hank is the most lovable, good natured, puppy who tries so so so hard to please us. From his behaviors we can tell that he wasn't given as much love as he now recieves from our home. It's just sad when a dog doesn't know what a belly rub is! But believe me he quickly learned how great belly rubs are and how great it is to be snuggled!
I was a little nervous at first about having the 2 dogs but honestly after they got over the newness of each other, I've learned that having 2 dogs is easier than 1...in some regards.
