Crazy Crazy Week

I seem to be having these crazy weeks more often now and I know the reason: although I'm not employed full-time (which used to take up my entire Monday thru Thursday) I am now busy running from one thing to the next. Having (what feels like) a hundred "smaller" (by no means indicating level of importance) things going on is exhausting! So what did I do all week that made me so exhausted last night that I wanted to go to bed at 6pm???

Monday:
~Matt left for Montana on a work trip :(
~I had lunch with a friend who I haven't seen since getting laid off. We ate at an amazing mexican restaurant and laughed so much! Miss her!
~Stopped by Matt's aunt Shannon's store to drop off a disk with all the edited photos I took for her to advertise some of her products. I am in love with 90% of the pics...and learned from the other 10% (which if I'm honest I know that I am just being picky about).
~Volunteered at the shelter (a much longer, detailed story to come)
~Cleaned the house
~And worked on the downstairs bathroom (I will write about that when it's all finished)

Tuesday:
~Matt was still gone and had a delayed flight that he didn't get into Billings until 1am!
~I felt awful! Super dizzy and kept feeling like I was going to faint every time I tried to walk a few steps so I called into the shelter and the salon, I couldn't imagine trying to walk dogs let alone driving safely.

Wednesday:
~Felt MUCH better!
~I brought Hank to the trainer's for a few days to work on improving some manners (basically greeting and socializing with other dogs). I hated leaving my baby and felt awful...but knew it was for the best and would be good for him.
~Worked on the downstairs bathroom, ugh I want this project to be over with!
~Matt came home from Montana!!! So excited! Our house felt weird with only Stanley and I in it, but we spent some needed quality mommy-stanley time together :)

Thursday:
~Putz'd around the house cleaning and doing laundry in the AM and putting the finishing touches on the site where I'm going to be housing some photos. Although it is likely "ready"...my control-freak, type-A personality isn't ready to "finalize" the site yet...but I will share the link when I'm ready.
~Worked at the salon from 2-9:50pm (I was there late because I'm a bonehead and messed up some stuff in the computer system and needed to correct it before I left, ugh)...didn't get home until quarter to 11!

Friday:
~Picked Hank up from the trainer's!!! So happy to see my Hankers again! When I arrived he was running around with 3 other dogs! Loose! Without leashes or muzzles! AND the trainer opened the gate and Hank ran out to greet me...outside of the fenced in area! (these exclamation points are warranted) I hung out there for about 40 min talking about how it went and what they worked on. Apparently Hank did well with the 3 female (which belong to the trainer), but repeatedly showed "displays of dominance" when meeting the trainer's male dog...so the trainer decided to not work on that at this time. He reminded me that he believes not all dogs need to play together and there will be better results when owners choose to let their dogs interact with dogs that are good for their dog to be with...Matt and I totally agree. Our dogs don't need to be "friends" with all the dogs in the world and only get to play with dogs that they play well with...if they don't play nice, they don't play at all.  Getting home, Stanley was sooooo excited to see Hank, but I could tell Hank was wore out from his time at the trainers and kept their interactions brief while I got ready for work. Hank needed to sleep and not be bombarded by Stanley, so on my way to work I called Matt and talked a little about it all and he said he'd supervise when he got home to see how they were together. What was evident was that Hank was very watchful and listened very well...it was clear he had just came home from "boot camp".
~worked at the salon until 6pm
~ran some errands, mostly picked up supplies for the baby shower I'm throwing next weekend. I'm so excited!
~had pizza and movie night with Matt. Recently I finished reading all 4 Twilight books (which I borrowed from my sis) and today I borrowed the first 3 Twilight movies from a friend...so Matt and I are going to get caught up on all this Twilight-hype :)

Saturday:
~Worked at the salon from 8am-3pm
~Visited with my sister briefly
~Although I was exhausted from this week of randomness we had another movie night. I just couldn't resist snuggling with Matt and the pups while watching Twilight #2. It was almost midnight when the movie was over...and I seriously wanted to start the 3rd...but then I fell asleep on the couch until 5am with a giant pain in my neck, ugh.

Yesterday:
~Matt and I were able to sleep in until after 10am!
~And I worked on the bathroom for (what felt like) 8 hours! But it's ready to be painted!  :)

So yep, that was my week in review. Not too exciting, but then again, this is my blog and I want to remember "Life as I Know It"
